ABOUT US

As-Siraj Foundation for the Blind is a charitable company in the UK and our projects aim to improve the lives of disadvantaged blind people.

We were established in 2020 to provide equipment, resources and education that improve the quality of life of blind people in need.

Our projects will also equip them with essential life skills so that they may lead independent and productive lives.

We Aim To:

  • Teach essential skills for activities of daily living (ADLs):
    including personal hygiene and dressing, cooking/meal preparation and cleaning, mobility and the use of public transport, as well as money management. 
  • Teach how to read, write and type Braille
  • Teach the usage of electronics:
    including mobile phones and computers
  • Provide access to adapted household items and mobility aides
